James obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of California, Berkeley in 2018 and obtained his law degree four years later from University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings). While attending law school, James worked with the non-profit organization Legal Aid at Work assisting low-income working families and individuals to address legal inequalities and promote workers rights.  James was licensed to practice law in the State of California in 2022, when he joined his father's private, family run law practice Pierry Law Firm as an associate attorney and is presently involved in handling all aspects of plaintiff personal injury cases.
